We've created a mobile version of InterfaceLIFT optimized for viewing on the Apple iPhone and Apple iPod touch! Just visit interfacelift.com from the mobile Safari browser built in to your Apple handheld.

Currently, the interface includes the 10 most recently posted items in our Wallpapers section. Touching any of the previews brings you to a detailed page where you can view or post comments about the wallpaper.

In the near future, we'll be adding the ability to browse the wallpaper collection by the most downloaded, most popular, most commented, and random as well as the ability to mark a wallpaper as a favorite for easy downloading when you log back into your computer.

AOL has announced an icon design contest for it's AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) application.

It’s time to sexify our icons and we thought we’d have a little fun and kick it up a notch. We’re going to let our readers, users, and the like, help us design some icons for the IM app that you’ve all grown up with and love! This past year, we’ve really fine tuned the look and feel and chrome of the application with fun and colorful themes, so we’d like to show our icons some TLC and give it the attention it deserves.

The AIM Iconography Contest starts today and will run from October 9th to November 6, 2007 through Top Coder Studio. Please visit their website to read the rules and regulations. The goal of the competition is to create a set of icons to be used in the application and accross the AIM Network. And of course, there is a sweet prize at the end.

Unsanity has released ShapeShifter 2.5 which has the following new features and bug fixes:

• ShapeShifter no longer causes instabilities when used with Apple's Pro applications.
• ShapeShifter now works properly with beta versions of Safari 3.
• Cocoa pull-down menus now use the correct text color when pressed.
• Cocoa box titles now use the correct text color.
• guiTweak now presents a more informative error dialog when an insurmountable error prevents tweaking from concluding properly.
• ShapeShifter now honor's Camino's "CAMINO_DISABLE_HACKS" environment variable.
• The preference pane no longer erroneously states that new version "(null)" is available when an internet connection is present, but is unreliable.
• ShapeShifter now properly handles OS versions with a bugfix number greater than 9 (e.g., OS X 10.4.10).
• Windows bmp "magic pink" transparency conversion now works properly on x86 machines.
• Adding a new guiKit to the ShapeShifter prefpane no longer causes the names of guiKits that are available to all users on the computer to disappear from the ShapeShifter prefpane.
• Resolved an obscure issue that could cause applications to crash occasionally when ShapeShifter is loaded.

Unsanity has released ShapeShifter 2.4, the first Universal Binary version of its theme changing utility for Mac OS X. ShapeShifter is now compatible with Intel Macs and the upgrade is free to existing licensees.

Some of the themes recently released in the Mac Themes section of InterfaceLIFT required a beta version of ShapeShifter 2.4 in order to be used. This caused a lot of confusion because the beta version was not easy to find on Unsanity's web site. Users running version 2.3 were getting errors that some themes were "too new to read". This problem is remedied by installing the final release of ShapeShifter 2.4.

We are pleased to announce that Kamil Kubicki has released an InterfaceLIFT Widget for the Mac OS X Dashboard.

The widget makes use of our RSS Feeds to display the 20 most recent downloads in each of the main sections on our site.
