I didn't pay much to this one in the loupe but lookin' at it now I already added it to favorites!
At first I thought the green was under saturated but now it amazes me and keeps me searching for any interesting stuff I can find on the ground.

I guess I'm in the minority here but I don't care for the vignetting effect on the image. I think darkening the overall look of the sky would have added sufficient drama. Beyond that it does capture the cold, lonesome feeling of the high plains in the Fall when Winter is about to set in. The same location and perspective would be great in the Spring, too, when the wild flowers are in full bloom.

Whitedog, thanks for your comment. I used the vignietting for a good reason. I wanted to emphasize the emptyness of the scene and focus the point of view into the center of the picture. Furthermore, I think the vignietting contributes to the overall atmosphere of the motive. In the end, it's a matter of taste I guess. Still, thanks for the comment!

I took it upon myself removing some of the vignetting in Photoshop. You can use Filter>Distort>Lens Correction and use the vignetting control.

i really envy Macindows! getting a chance to visit all these amazing places world over is really fortunate. sometime ago, one of his images was shot from a private plane! thanks for the wallpapers!
