I like it. It's fun and airy and well composed. My only complaint is that when looking at the full res file, the sky and sea seem to be a bit too far towards the violet side of the spectrum, whereas the thumbnail shows more cyan/green in the sky and sea. It looks more natural in the thumbnail.

i think there must be an error with the color space, i just got the new lightroom and i may not have changed the color space i will submit another picture with the right color space.

I wish more of the beach was in focus. Too much of the photo is out of focus for my taste, weird on the eyes. Dig the rocks though.

I quite like it. However, the colors of the wallpaper are dull when applied to the desktop. Although I guess this is caused by the error in the color space, as you have already said. Nice job nonetheless.

I like it for the most part. I agree with the previous comments about the colors. If I could make a suggestion, I'd say it might be a bit better to move the rock pile a bit more toward the center since it's the focus of the picture, rather than so far in the corner. I think this might make the picture seem less blurry as a whole (in regards to animeanime's comment)

I really like this concept Joel. Nicely done. I love the blurred out background idea but not liking the bokeh quality too much. What lens did you use?

Rock pile is fine but I agree that personally I would like to see part of the beach focused as well. But no matter I still like the photo.

well the reason i wanted to make it blurred is that cos everyone takes it with full focus, i used my Canon 24-105L, there is a problem with the color space. thanks

I would have used a smaller apperature for a greater DOF but I like the fact that you went creative instead of following the norm. Nice shot overall.

While I don't really think this photo makes a great desktop wallpaper (just because of so much blur), I think it not only makes an interesting photo, but would also be perfect for the background of an ad for something. I could easily see this photo behind an advertisement at the airport or for a travel agency or something like that.

I think the reason everyone takes this shot with full focus is because the background is so beautiful. Sometimes being different for the sake of being different doesn't work. The thumbnail looks good though.

the view of syones is beautiful of course, but personally there is too much overall blur or unfocused area speaking of the whole picture. It may bother the viewer, if it was the left-down area the main or the biggest it will be awesome.

for its creativity alone I think its great ! really like the idea behind it even if there's a few problems with the end result pointed out by other people.

I'm not a fan of the blurry background, especially one this blurry. But I love the concept overall. I'll probably crop the lower left corner as my wallpaper.
