Nice shot, 10mm is pretty wide, Im not sure if I like the perspective it has given the left side of the image though. Nice contrast in the sky, love the HDR effect of the clouds.

As soon as I saw the thumbnail, I immediately knew that I was going to like this one. But regarding the dark branches, it looks to me like the only thing going on here is that they're in the shade, possibly from a cloud or something. Anyway, I really like this one and it's already in Wallpaper Master's rotation.

Very Nice picture! One thing: My opinion, and I say my, is that if the three was erased from the picture you would have a much better background. But, do make more picture in that park. I can give a few suggestions: A small pond on the water, a big rock and maybe a single macro (don't know the English word) picture of a very small interesting detail. For the rest this is a picture to remember!

I believe the reason for the dark branch, as I have had this problem with HDR myself, is in the processing algorithms of whatever program you used. Some (like photomatix) use a much more aggressive, but ultimately less dynamic, form of processing, whereas Dynamic-Photo uses a less aggressive and more dynamic processing. Both have their weaknesses of course, and it truly depends on the situation and the image light data.

I've also found that HDR can be unpredictable from scene to scene. Shooting the same scene a different angles, but the same relative position to the light source produced wildly different results owing to the fact that camera censors can react differently. Reflections, light intensities, and shadowing can all affect the outcome (as you probably know) but affect the HDR outcome even greater.

Another really cool Chris Gin image, very nice HDR. I think the dark branches add just a hint of eeriness to the image which makes it all the more interesting.
