Just Another Sunset

August 27th, 2008

With so many people complaining about the lack of sunset pics, I thought I'd come to the rescue. :) Taken at Coyle Park, Pt Chevalier, Auckland.

Come on...another sunset! haha just kidding. Great shot! Almost looked like you were branding the picture for IFL in the bottom left rock.

The clarity of this shot is stellar. A week ago I commented on another sunset that I enjoy monochromatic shots (it was ALL purple), but this defies my previous statement! It's got as much detail in all parts of the screen as "Driftwood" (look it up on IFLSearch), another fave of mine. I commend you for your expert framing and setup more than your color handling, which is very plain and realistic (a good thing imho) in this picture.

Great sunset, like "40" said, you just kidding...! Your photos have an excellent sharpness, and the color saturation is so good. That's it.

Excellent shot Chris. Love the colors. Looks like a place where one can spent a lot of time taking photos and just enjoying the scenery.

Great composition! Someone already mentioned the framing and colors, so I'll just agree. Very nice, very vivid.

Did I hit a nerve with my sunset gripe? Come on guys, lighten up! I love chocolate too, but not for breakfast, lunch AND dinner! :-)

Variety is king, that's all... This is still an outstanding photo.

Good shot... especially since the river is a centerish composition.

@40, I'd love to say I did it on purpose, but I didn't notice the "IF" etched into those rocks until you mentioned it! Should have etched an "L" before I took the shot :)

I'd just like to say that no two sunsets are alike, just like snowflakes, and this is especially unique!

I was just going to ask if anyone has noticed the "IF" etched into the rock, but I'm too late. lol Oh well. It's too bad you didn't Photoshop an "L" in there to make it complete! lol But I like it. "If" is quite an artistic statement in this piece (especially for somebody like me). I really love this piece!
